All in the Family

George’s Shoes & Repair has been proudly family-owned and operated for 120 years. The business was founded in 1905 in northern Lebanon by Joe George. When he retired, he passed it down to his son, Said, who ran the business for nearly 40 years and moved operations from the Dakotas to St. Paul. More than four decades ago, Ron George took over—and today, the shop continues its legacy under the leadership of Melissa and Luke George.

At George’s, we do more than repair your favorite shoes, handbags, luggage, ball gloves, and jackets—we also carry a curated selection of quality footwear and sock brands, including Birkenstock, UGG, Minnetonka Moccasin, Merrell, Sorel, Keen, Chaco, and New Balance, as well as Smartwool, Darn Tough, and Sockwell socks.

We’re proud to celebrate over a century of craftsmanship, community, and family tradition—and we’re grateful for everyone who continues to shop local and support what we love doing every day.
